The indestructible post is constructed out of 6 5/8" diameter galvanized metal, for starters. When you combine this impressive structure with the easy-to-install nosecone for attaching the backboard to the pole, the entire package is second to none. This feature means that you will be spending less time lifting the backboard to position it in place during installation which means less time and money devoted to the process.
The Tyrant III's pole is buried 48" beneath the playground basketball court. When the unit has been completely installed, the post to backboard extension distance measures a full 72". To help keep players safe, you can add pole padding or backboard padding to the Tyrant III.
