The SuperMount 68 Tradition package is appropriate for institutional use. This unit is easy to order and install. With this option, you don't need to take the time to calculate extension requirements before ordering. This strategy saves you time and money over other systems where you are required to provide specific measurements. The SuperMount 68 Tradition will give you a variable wall to backboard extension of between 72" - 96".
With the SuperMount 68 Tradition package, you can align the backboard and goal with the basketball court markings on the gym floor. This means that you don't need to consider the cost of reworking them if you happen to make a mistake in your measurements. The SuperMount 68 Tradition simply works with your existing floor markings as they are.
The SuperMount 68 Tradition package includes a 48" x 72" glass backboard and a competition breakaway goal. Dense Southern Yellow Pine anchors the unit securely to the wall. Safety chains are used to join the backboard and the pine pieces. The backboard supports are made from solid square tubing with a back powder coat finish. As an additional safety feature, add bolt-on backboard padding to the package. If you know your school or rec center will be hosting youth basketball camps or little league games you may also want to add a backboard height adjuster to your package as well.
