The RuffNeck Flight is a high-quality basketball system that is strong enough to stand up to vigorous use as well as the ravages of weather. The post is made of 4.5" O.D. galvanized schedule 40 tubing. As a result, the post is rust-resistant. The RuffNeck Flight's direct rim mount design means that assembling the unit is relatively easy. The rim is placed through the backboard of the unit when assembling the basketball system. The rim mount is placed directly onto the post, resulting in no stress on the backboard. The post to backboard extension distance is 48" after assembly is complete.

Two braces are attached to the neck of the post to provide additional support to the backboard. Installing the backboard is a very simple process, thanks to the "nose-cone" backboard mounting design. The nose-cone is locked into position on the post with a through-bolt. The post is placed a full 48" below the concrete court surface, for maximum stability.

The delivery driver is not required to assist with unloading of the basketball goal from the truck. It is highly recommended to have four persons available for delivery of large goals, and a minimum of two people for lighter systems.
