The Legacy III Basketball System is an extremely well-constructed and durable unit designed to meet the needs of the residential consumer. It is solid, with a 4" x 4" square steel post. The one-piece pole design means no worries about rust deteriorating the unit around joints. Once the post is installed, it is buried 36" below the playing surface to give you hours of wobble-free enjoyment. Add an optional ground sleeve or a bolt-down ground anchor if you want the flexibility of being able to remove the post.
This is a fixed height basketball system but that doesn't mean it can't be adjusted. All you need to do it loosen the two U-bolts that hold the arm onto the pole and reposition the arm at the desired height. Tighten the U-bolts to finish the job, and you are ready to play. The post to backboard extension distance is 36". You can choose to add all-weather pole padding or backboard to this model for added safety.
The Legacy III is strong enough to take whatever punishment you want to mete out and still provide years of use. It is designed with durability and safety in mind. This model comes with a 36" x 54" acrylic backboard and a heavy duty flex goal. The goal is "direct mounted" so that there is no chance of the backboard breaking during use.
