The HydroSport III is a very stable basketball system for poolside play. This unit's 4" x 4" stainless steel post is powder coated to perform well, even when being splashed by pool water on a regular basis. It is secured to the pool deck by four stainless steel anchor bolts, which are protected by a secure cover. An ABS plastic anchor cover is also included in the package. The heavy-duty steel extension arm is powder coated and attaches to the vertical post with U-bolts.
Even though the HydroSport III is a fixed height system, you can place the extension arm at any level you wish on the post. To change the rim height, simply loosen the U-bolts and reattach the arm to the desired height before tightening. Moisture is kept out of the vertical post by a welded top cap. A special zinc undercoating has been added to the goal to keep it from rusting. You have the option of adding backboard padding to the HydroSport II package for additional safety.
The HydroSport III is a very sturdy unit that is built to last. It comes with a 36" x 54" acrylic backboard and a heavy duty flex goal. The backboard will not break if players decide to hang off of it, since the goal is "direct mounted."
