The Vector III is built to last. This unit's steel post measures 4" square,
and the fact that it is made from a single piece means that you don't have to
deal with joints that may rust out over time.
The most interesting feature this basketball system has to offer is the
front-mount EZ Crank system. This is a spring-activated mechanism allowing you
to set the height of the rim at any point between 10' and 7'. When the rim is
set to the 10' level, the post to backboard extension is 32". As the rim height
is lowered, the extension distance increases accordingly. After you have set the
height, you can remove the handle to ensure that the system isn't tampered with.
When you choose the Vector III, you are getting a heavy duty flex goal that is
"direct mounted" to ensure that the backboard will not break. You can set up
your home court with confidence, knowing that the unit will stay where you have
placed it. If you would like the flexibility of moving it to another location,
simply add a ground sleeve option to your package to make the post removable.
