The Tyrant Playground is an excellent choice when you are looking for a
basketball system that is built to last. With its enormous 6 5/8" diameter
galvanized post, the Tyrant Playground is as strong as it looks. In fact, this
unit is indestructible! Another great feature with this line is the nosecone
that is attached to the post. This addition to the design makes installation a
lot quicker and easier that with other systems. It also reduces the amount of
lifting of the backboard during the process.
The Tyrant Playground's massive post is set to a 48" depth beneath the surface
of the basketball court during installation. This offers maximum stability, with
no concerns about wobbling. The Tyrant Playground model offers players a post to
extension distance of 72" when the post has been set in place. For safety
reasons, you may wish to add pole padding and backboard padding to the Tyrant
Playground package.
