The Storm Select is designed for use in recreational centers, gymnasiums, and
field houses. This unit is highly durable and flexible. The rim height can be
adjusted between 10' and 6'. To make the adjustment, remove the pin on the
adjustment rod and raise or lower the unit as necessary. Replace the pin when
the rim height is at the level you want, and you are ready to play.
The distance from the backboard to the base is 5'6" when the rim is set to 10'.
A minimum distance of 4' can be maintained when the rim is set to a lower level.
The front, sides, and back of the base are outfitted with heavy padding for
safety reasons. Padding is available in a number of colors. Backboard padding is
available as an optional item. The Storm Select is a very stable unit, and will
not tip over even if players are hanging from the rim.
The Storm Select is outfitted with 8" non-marking casters. In between games, the
unit folds down into a compact position for storage. The Storm Select comes with
a 36" x 60" acrylic backboard and a heavy duty flex goal. The goal is "direct
mounted" to eliminate breakage if players hang off the rim.
