The RuffNeck Select is the choice for the consumer who wants exceptional durability in an institutional basketball system. The post is built to resist rust, and is made from 4.5" O.D. galvanized schedule 40 tubing. This detail is one of the reasons why the RuffNeck Select will provide several years of enjoyment to basketball players and withstand many different kinds of weather. An interesting feature of this model is the direct rim mount design. This means that it can be mounted through the backboard of and placed directly into the post. A definite advantage to this design is the lack of stress on the backboard.

Twin braces are mounted to the neck of the post and provide extra support to the backboard. The installation process of the "nose-cone" backboard mounting design is simple. The post is placed at 48" below the concrete playing surface. This means the system will be very stable, even while being used by many groups of players on a regular basis.

The RuffNeck Select comes equipped with a 36" x 60" acrylic backboard and a heavy duty flex goal. After the unit has been completely assembled with the goal in place, the post to backboard extension distance is a full 48". With its combination of strength and durability, the RuffNeck Select is a choice that will complement any playground well.

It is highly recommended to have four persons available for delivery of large goals, and a minimum of two people for lighter systems.
