The RuffNeck Max is designed to offer exceptional durability for your
playground equipment needs. Its post is constructed from 4.5" O.D. galvanized
schedule 40 tubing. This rust-resistant product means that the RuffNeck Max will
continue to perform well for several years and through many different kinds of
weather. The direct rim mount design means that it can be mounted through the
backboard of the unit and placed straight into the post. As a direct result,
this design eliminates backboard stress.
Two tubular braces fixed to the neck of the post provide more support to the
backboard. The "nose-cone" backboard mounting design makes installing the
backboard simple. When the unit is installed, the post is buried 48" below the
playing surface. This gives the basketball system increased stability.
This is truly a fixed height basketball system. You assemble it and place it on
the site where the basketball court will be located without no further
adjustments to the rim height at all. This represents a very simple solution
when you want to provide quality equipment in an institutional setting.
The RuffNeck Max comes with a 36" x 54" aluminum backboard and an unbreakable
fixed goal. The post to backboard extension distance is 48" when the unit is
fully assembled. It will stand up well to a lot of use by basketball players of
