Choosing the Renegade Impervia gives you a commercial quality product for
your playground. Its 4.5" O.D. galvanized schedule 40 tubing is sturdy and built
to stand up to the elements, as well as the demands of multiple users. The pole
is buried 48" below the concrete basketball court as part of the installation
process. To keep moisture from entering the pole, a vinyl cap is used.
This model is classified as a fixed height basketball system, even though you do
have a bit of flexibility when it comes to repositioning the extension arm. This
part of the unit is held in place with two heavy-duty U-bolts. All you need to
do if you want to move the extension arm up or down is to loosen the bolts and
reposition the arm. When the goal has been installed, the extension from post to
backboard measures 48".
Another helpful feature of the Renegade Supreme is the fact that the backboard
is supported by good-quality braces. These, as well as the extension arm, have
been powder-coated. The pole, which is made from galvanized metal, is
rust-resistant.
The Renegade Supreme can stand up to the demands put on it from playground
basketball players. It comes equipped with a 42" x 72" acrylic backboard and a
heavy duty flex goal. The goal is "direct mounted" to eliminate stress on the
backboard which makes it ideal all around.
