The Renegade Select is your choice when you are looking for a quality
basketball system for a playground setting. The pole is constructed from a 4.5"
O.D. galvanized schedule 40 tube. Part of the installation process is to bury
the pole 48" below the surface of the concrete basketball court. Moisture is
prevented from penetrating the Renegade Select's pole by placing a vinyl cap on
top of the pole structure.
The Renegade Select uses heavy-duty U-bolts to hold the extension arm onto the
pole. This is a fixed height basketball system, but you can reposition the rim
height if you need to by loosening the U-bolts from the arm and moving it along
the pole. Reattach the arm to the pole at the level you want, and it is ready to
use.
A backboard brace forms part of this design to give a superior level of
rigidity. Both the braces and the extension arm are powder-coated. Since the
pole is made from galvanized metal, it is a rust-resistant product. The post to
backboard extension is 48" when the unit is fully assembled.
The Renegade Select offers good quality for a playground setting. This model
comes with a 36" x 60" acrylic backboard and a heavy duty flex goal. No need to
worry about the backboard breaking during play, since the goal is "direct
mounted."
