The Renegade Max is perfectly designed for playground use. Its post is made
from 4.5" O.D. galvanized schedule 40 tubing. When the unit is installed, it is
buried 48" below the playing surface. To keep moisture out of the tube, a vinyl
cap is used.
The extension arm on the Renegade Max is attached to the post using two
heavy-duty U-bolts. The Renegade is an example of a fixed height basketball
goal, but the U-bolts can be loosened and the arm can be reattached to any
height along the post.
This model comes with a backboard brace for superior backboard rigidity. The
extension arm and braces are powder-coated. The post is galvanized to render it
weather resistant. When the unit is assembled and put in place, the post to
backboard extension distance measures 48".
The Renegade Max has a simple design that offers commercial durability on the
playground. You have some flexibility in setting the rim height by loosening the
U-bolts that hold the extension arm in place and repositioning it anywhere along
the pole. The Renegade Max won't wobble once it is firmly erected on the playing
surface. This model comes with a 36" x 54" aluminum backboard and an unbreakable
fixed goal. It will stand up well to a lot of use by basketball players of any
age or ability.
