The Renegade III is a quality basketball system that provides commercial
durability with a certain amount of flexibility. O.D. galvanized schedule 40
tubing is used to make the pole. You will be burying it a full 48" below the
surface of the concrete court. This gives you a sturdy basketball system that
won't budge once you set it in place. Moisture is prevented from penetrating the
pole by placing a vinyl cap at the top.
Two heavy-duty U-bolts are used to attach the extension arm to the vertical
post. You can change the position of the goal by loosening the U-bolts from the
extension arm and then reattaching them at the height you want.
A good quality brace is part of this design, and is used to firmly support the
backboard. As a result, the Renegade III has a superior level of backboard
rigidity. The post is rust resistant, thanks to the use of galvanized metal. The
post to backboard extension of the Renegade III is 48".
The Renegade III stands up well to use in a playground setting. The galvanized
metal won't rust and it will not wobble or topple over during games. The
Renegade III comes with a 36" x 54" acrylic backboard and a heavy duty flex
goal. Backboard stress is eliminated since the flex goal is "direct mounted."
