The Legacy Select has the features the residential basketball consumer is
looking for. Its sturdy construction starts with a 4" x 4" 11 ga. steel post to
provide solid footing for the unit. The one-piece pole design eliminates the
possibility of rust settling in around joints, which is the case with models
constructed in several pieces. The post is buried 36" below the playing surface,
for maximum support. You can add a ground sleeve to your package to give you the
flexibility to make the post removable.
The extension arm is attached to the pole using heavy-duty U bolts. If you want
to set the rim height to a different level, you can loosen the U-bolts and slide
the arm to a different spot along the pole. Once you have the arm at the desired
level, simply retighten the bolts. The post to backboard extension distance is
36" when the goal is attached. You have the option of adding all-weather post
padding or backboard padding to this model, for additional safety.
The Legacy Select has the strength to stand up to the elements, as well as
whatever your family can throw at it. This model comes with a 36" x 60" acrylic
backboard and a heavy duty flex goal. To eliminate the possibility of backboard
breakage during a game, the flex goals are "direct mounted".
